President Obama is in Jupiter main period and Mars sub period which is coming to an
end on Feb 28th, 2010. This is indeed a difficult period as Mars is the Badhaka
(obstruction) planet in his astrology chart, and transiting Mars in his chart is
retrograde and is apecting natal Jupiter and transiting Jupiter the mahadasha lord at
same time. To add insult to an injury the ascendant lord Saturn in Obama’s chart went
retrograde on Jan 13th, 2010, and it will remain retrograde until end of May 2010.
Transit Saturn from Virgo aspects President Obama’s 10th house lord of job natal
Venus in Gemini at 8 degrees and 33 minutes. This attributes to the democrats defeat
in the recent elections for the Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat, and the Health care Reform
being in jeopardy. President Obama has all the skills and capable of doing a good job
but still he can not because transit Saturn aspects the natal Venus the ruler of his
house of Job. If you see the planetary configuration back on Jan 20th, 2009, transit
Jupiter was aspecting his natal Venus, when he got elected as President of US.
President Obama will enter Rahu sub period in Jupiter Main period Feb 28th onwards.
Rahu has entered the 10th lord Venus’s constellation, and will remain there until Sept
29th. Saturn the ascendant lord will become direct in President Obama’s chart in end
of May 2010, and Mars the badhaka planet will leave cancer sign and stop aspecting
his ascendant in end of May 2010 as well. So President Obama’s period will improve
starting june 1st. Saturn, his ascendant lord will be direct and in a very strong Sun’s
nakshatra, and Jupiter the mahadasha lord will be very strong in Saturn’s nakshatra.
But transit Saturn from Virgo will continue to aspect President Obama’s 10th house
lord natal Venus until end of Sept 2010. The second half of this year looks very good
for President Obama especially after September 2010, except some disturbance in
end of July and beginning of August 2010 when Saturn the ascendant lord and Mars

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA ASTROLOGY CHART ANALYSIS
President Barack Obama is born on August 4th, 1961 in Honolulu Hawaii at 7:24 PM
(AA Rating). Obama’s birth time is rectified and corrected to 7:14 PM using the past
important events in his life and the dates when these events happened. I have used
KP System to analyze Obama’s Astrology chart. This system uses placidus house
system. Each house can be less than 30 degrees or more than 30 degrees. The
house cusp is used as the starting point of the house. I have used KP aynamsa
instead of Lahiri aynamsa to analyze Obama’s chart. The difference between the two
is about 6 minutes.
Obama is Capricorn ascendant with ascendant at 21 degrees 56 minutes. The Lord of
Ascendant, and 2nd house of speech & money Saturn (2 degrees 06 minutes) is in
12th house in Capricorn sign with 12th lord Jupiter (7 degrees 38 minutes), and they
both are in 8th lord Sun’s constellation. This confused many Vedic Astrologers how
Obama became President during the Maha Dasha of 12th lord Jupiter as 12th lord is
not considered a good planet in any chart. So they came up with a yoga called
MahaPursha yoga in his chart, he has Ascendant lord Saturn conjunct 12th lord Jupiter
in Capricorn sign, and that is why he became President during 12th lord Jupiter’s
Mahadasha.
In my opinion in Vedic Astrology any planet in the constellation of lord of 8th
occupying the 6th house will invariably bring luck without any strain. 6 and 8 are the
2nd and 12th houses to the opponents represented by 7th house. So if there is a
connection between houses 2 and 12 one is to lose. Hence the opponent’s loss is the
native’s gain. In Obama’s case three important planets Saturn the Ascendant lord,
Jupiter the 12th lord, and Mars the 10th lord are in the Constellation of Sun and Sun
rules the 8th house and it is located in 6th house. Further Sun is in the constellation
of 6th house lord Mercury, again located in the 6th house. So these planets will bring
luck without any strain, and the person will be successful in anything they want to do
in their life. The opponents are bound to loose in a big way as these planets will bring
loss to the opponents. So this is the scientific explanation why Obama became
President in 12th lord Jupiter’s Mahadasha. This also explains why Obama became so
successful in such a short period, was able to overcome all obstacles, raise huge
campaign funds for the 2008 Presidential Election, win the Primaries first, and then

Ketu will transit Mars nakshatra in Gemini and Taurus signs from Feb 2011 to Oct
2011. During this period Obama will be in Jupiter/Rahu/Ketu period in the months of
July, August and September 2011, a very sensitive time both for Obama and US. Then
Saturn the ascendant lord will transit Badhaka Planet Mars nakshatra from Sept 2011
to Oct 2012 will be a very sensitive time both for Obama and US. These are the
periods when Obama will face big challenges. Whether Obama gets re-elected for the
2nd term will largely depend upon how he handles this challenging period. If gets
elected for the second term he will be a very successful President as he will be in

I mentioned in my analysis that President Obama has a chart that will invariably bring

house. Obama has done it again by winning the Nobel Peace Prize. I also mentioned
that Obama’s time will improve when Jupiter goes direct on Oct 12th as he is in Jupiter’
s Mahadasha. He won the Nobel prize when Saturn, Mercury, Venus, Rahu were
transiting Sun’s Nakshatra and the Nakshatra lord Sun was transiting Virgo and was
aspected by Jupiter. The Magic planet sun has again done the wonderful job. It
happened so close to Oct 12th when Jupiter was becoming direct.
